  • CENTRAL TROOPS ORGANIZED A DHAMMA SERMON ON VESAK POYA DAY

    A Dhamma sermon was organized by the military personnel of Security Forces Headquarters (Central) on the account of Vesak Full Moon Poya Day on 07 May 2020 at the lecture hall of the headquarters. This was organized with the instructions of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP.

  • PRESIDENTIAL TASK FORCE VISITED THE QUARANTINE CENTERS IN THE CAMP PREMISES

    A Special Presidential Task Force was appointed with the objective of ensuring the health security of military personnel and military establishments in the island, specially to control the Covid-19 pandemic. This was leading by the Western Province Governor Marshal of the Air Force W D N J Roshan Goonetileke RWP VSV USP psc in collaboration with Retired Military Heads as well as Medical Experts.

  • MILITARY PERSONNEL CONTRIBUTED THE SAUBHAGYA HOME GARDEN PROJECT

    In accordance with a concept of HE the President, the Ministry of Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development has initiated the Saubhagya Home Garden Project in order to uplift the cultivation which has become an essential requirement when the present situation in the island is concerned.

  • THE COMMANDER SF(CEN) MAKES AWARE TROOPS ON COVID -19

    The Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP addressed all ranks at Headquarters, Security Forces (Central) on 25 April 2020 in order to make aware the troops on the seriousness of the endemic Covid -19 and the precautionary measures which should be followed to control the spreading the virus.

  • GARRISON ENGINEER’S OFFICE INNOVATED A DISINFECTION CABIN

    A disinfection cabin which enables to sterilize personnel as well as objects within few seconds has been innovated by the Garrison Engineer’s Office as a precaution of controlling the threat of Covid -19. This was made following the instructions of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP. Further, it is intended to use it for the safety of medical staff at the quarantine centres.

  • THE COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (CENTRAL) VISITS 12 DIVISION

    Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP, Commander, Security Forces (Central) made his first official visit to 12 Division as well as the Brigades which are under command to Security Force Headquarters (Central) on 23 April 2020 after assuming duties as the Commander, Security Forces (Central).

  • A WORKSHOP TO UPLIFT THE MENTAL HEALTH OF THE PERSONNEL AT QUARANTINE CENTERS

    A workshop was conducted on 18 April 2020 at the auditorium of the Base Hospital Diyatalawa to uplift the mental health of the personnel who actively involved in the quarantine process at the quarantine centres.

  • COMMANDER SECURITY FORCES (CENTRAL) VISITED THE QUARANTINE CENTERS IN KANDY AND BADULLA

    As the guardians of the nation, Sri Lanka Army is playing a vital role to control the current endemic situation in the Island. Consequently, 04 quarantine centers are being operated within the 11 Division ( Kandy and Badulla) which is located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central). These centers were arranged under the instructions of the Commander of the Army and the supervision of the Commander, Security Forces (Central).

  • NOTHER TEAM RELEASED AFTER THE QUARANTINE PROCESS

    15th April 2020 21:09:38 Hours

    After 14 days quarantine process, 51 personnel were released under medical instructions from 1st Battalion the Gemunu Watch and Kahagolla Quarantine Centres on 15 April 2020. Further, the quarantine certificates were also issued before they left the premises.
