Another newly constructed house was handed over to a selected low income family in Perakumpura, Ethimale on 15 September 2020. This was constructed under “Sirasa Niwasa” housing project which was launched by Sirasa Media Network. Mr R D Nandarathne received this house under the 2nd stage of the project. Further, the constructions work of the project was carried out by the troops of 18th Battalion the Gemunu Watch.
The Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General W D C K Costa RSP USP graced the occasion as the chief guest. Moreover, Head and Group Director (Electronic Media) MTV/MBC Channels, Ms. Nedra Weerasinghe, General Officer Commanding of 12 Division, Brigade Commander of 121 Brigade, MTV/MBC staff members of Sirasa Media Network also participated in the event.
