Annual sports meet was organized on 30 March 2019 by the Viru Kekulu Pre School, Pallekele which is coming under 11 division in Security Forces (Central) area. On the direction of Mrs Anusha Nanayakkara the Senior Lady In charge of the Pallekele Viru Kekulu pre school ,the sports Meet was successfully conducted.Mrs Kamani Palihakkara the President of SLAGSC Army Seva Vanitha Branch graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.Major General TJ Nanayakkara RWP USP ndu the General Officer Commanding 11 Division,Senior officers, officers and other ranks of this 11 Div Headquarters participated in the Sports meet. The teachers of the Pre-School as well as the parents of the kids assisted the children to successfully conclude the Annual Sports Meet 2019.

On the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General WRP De Silva USP ndu IG,under the supervision of Major General GWDK Jayatilake USP ndu the General Officer Commanding 12 Division and Lt Col SJNNS Perera USP Commanding Officer 18 GW ,Security Force (Central) organized an Elle Tournament with the troops of Units ,formations and training schools under command to the Security Force(Central) and held on 15 and 16 March 2019 at Municipal Council Ground Monaragala. The tournament attracted a large number of participants. 3 SLNG won the Championship while 9 SLSR won the Runner up. Further, the General Officer Commanding 12 Division awarded trophies to the winners at the end of the tournament

The Thripitaka was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage, the ceremony was held under the patronage of President Maitreepala Sirisena at the temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic on 23 March 2019.This historical event was held with the participation of three chief incumbents of three chapters and MahaSanga under state patronage. Ministers and Tri forces Commanders also the participated the ceremony. Along with this historical event under the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General WRP De Silva USP ndu IG and the supervision of Major General TJ Nanayakkara RWP USP ndu the General Officer Commanding 11 Division, 10 senior officers, officers and 150 other ranks were participated for the Gilanpasa pooja to 4000 MahaSanga for the blessing of all military personals.

A sudden fire occurred in Kaluambatenna area in Badulla District on 24 March 2019. The mentioned area is located within the responsible area of Security Forces (Central) and the troops of Security Force (Central)controlled the fire on the directions of the Commander Security Force (Central), Major General WRP De Silva USP ndu IG .A team consisting of one Officer and twenty Soldiers have rushed to the place and took the prompt actions to douse the wild fire completely. The reason for the fire has not been revealed yet.

Brig DTS Pingamage assumed duties as the new Brigadier Admin and Quartering of Security Forces (Central) at the auspicious time on 26 March 2019 at his office. He has performed duties at many military establishments including operational formations in North and East. Further Officers and Other Ranks at SFHQ (Central) were extended their wishes to Brig DTS Pingamage at the time of assume his duties as new Brigadier Admin and Quartering.

Children learning at the ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-school underwent physical and dental checkups during a medical clinic, organised by the Security Force Headquarters (Central) under the guidance of Mrs Ludmila De Silva the Senior Lady in charge of the preschool in the pre school premises on 13 March 2019 .Children were examined by the a team of medical experts, including three consultants and a supporting team serving at the Army Base Hospital Diyatalawa.

Battalion training of 2(V) SLSR commenced on 21 January 219 till 15 March 2019 at Battalion Training School Wellamandiya with the participation of 10 officers and 150 other ranks. General Officer Commanding 11 Division Maj. Gen. T J Nanayakkara RWP USP ndu visited training troops in order to give instructions and give orders to their final exercise conducted from 8th to 11th March 2019.The GOC addressed all the officer instructors and other ranks instructors of the training school. Later GOC, 11 DIV visited the camp premises and observed accommodation and other facilities of the trainees.
