Kids of Diyatalawa ‘Viru Kekulu’pre-school managed by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) held a concert at the pre-school premises on 07 December 2018,in paralled with the Christmas celebration. Brig RMPJ Rathnayake RWP RSP USP ,BGS SFHQ (Central) grassed the occasion as the Chief Guest. The staff of the pre-school and the parents of the kids had made an immense commitment in organizing this event. The distribution of the prizes to the kids also done by the chief Guests to encourage the kids at the end of the event.

‘Nagarayata Uyanwathu’ agricultural programme and competition was launched for the 12th occasion in Central province under Security forces Central and the prize giving was held at Gannoruwa Agricultural Centre on 04 December 2018. The purpose of this programme is to maintain Agricultural base Economy in Central Province. The farm maintained by of 11 Div also included for this completion under the instructions of GOC 11 Div, Maj Gen TJ Nanayakkara RWP USP ndu and was able obtain the first place among 1520 competitors in Central Province.

Disaster Management Centre of Badulla district organized an awareness programme to educate the public on precautions that they have to take during disaster situations. Accordingly, the awareness programme was held over14 DS divisions in Badulla districton 4 December 2018. Under the direction of Maj Gen WRP De Silva USP ndu IG 10 x 625 officers and soldiers of SFHQ (Central), 112 Bde and affiliated battalions were participated for the programme. In addition, troops from Air Force, Police and staff of Disaster Management Centre, Hospital staff and NGOs were participated for the peogramme.
