Kids at Viru Kekulu Pre - school - Pallekele displayed their talents at the annual sports meet on 02 April 2018 at the school premises. This occasion was graced by Mrs Chandrika Senanayake the president of the Army Sewa Vanitha Unit as the Chief Guest with the invitation of Mrs. Indika Ranawana the Lady In Charge of Viru Kekulu Pre - School Pallekele. The General Officer Commanding of 11 Division Major General AWMAWN Ranawana RWP RSP ndc psc and other senior officers and officers of 11 Division as well as senior members of the Sewa Vanitha Unit participated in the event.

A shramadana campaign was conducted by 19 Sri Lanka National Guards (19 SLNG) to clean Sri Sumanarama Viharaya in Ambagamuwa Divisional Secretariat which is located in the responsible area of 112 Brigade of Security Forces (Central). In accordance with the guidance of the Commanding Officer of 19 SLNG, 10 Other Ranks participated in this charity campaign on 25 March 2018 and they were blessed by the Buddhist monks of the temple.

A group of students (09 x Male & 08 x Female ) belongs to faculty of Law in University of Colombo had lost their way back from the Hanthana mountain range due to prevailed bad weather condition on 29 March 2018 and Kandy Divisional Secretary, Mr H M P Hitisekara has requested the military assistance from Major General A W M A W N Ranawana RWP RSP ndc psc, the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division of Security Forces (Central) to launch rescue missions.

A sudden fire occurred in Hanthana mountain range on 27 March 2018 in Kandy District, was controlled by the troops of 11 Division of Security Forces (Central). A team consisting 1 Officer and 20 Other Ranks of 2 (V) SLSR were sent to extinguish the fire.
