Lt Col TBMR Kandekumbura RSP USP SLSR assumed duties as the new General Staff Officer I (Coord) of Security Forces Headquarters (Central) at the auspicious time on 07 March 2019 at the office. He has performed duties at many military establishments including operational formations in North and East. Further Officers and Other Ranks at SFHQ (Cental) were extended their wishes to Lt Col TBMR Kandekumbura RSP USP at the time of assume duties as General Staff Officer I (Coord).

Brigadier SMSPB Samarakoon RWP RSP assumed duties as the new Brigadier General Staff of Security Forces (Central) at the auspicious time on 25 February 2019 at the office. He has performed duties at many military establishments including operational formations in North and East. In year 2017 and 2018, Sri Lanka Army personnel won the national championships and they were deeply honored by participating in international tournaments. A workshop was Conducted ar testing the skills of those who wish to participate in the racing competitions. This was heald at the Fox Hills track Diyatalawa on 20 February 2019, parallel to the Inter Regiment championship scheduled to be held shortly. This workshop was conducted successfully by the Army Moror Racing Committee.

Col MAR Hamidon RSP assumed duties as the new Colonel General Staff and Lt Col YSP Sumanasinghe assumed duties as new General Staff Officer I (Coord) of the HQ 12 Division.These two events were taken place at the auspicious time on 18 February 2019 at the respective office.They both have performed duties at many military establishments including operational formations in North and East. Further Officers and Other Ranks at 12 Division were extended their wishes to Col MAR Hamdon RSP and Lt Col YSP Sumanasinghe at the time of assume duties.

11 Division was organized series of programmes to celebrate its 9th Anniversary in Division premises on 15 February 2019.Kiripindu pooja and Gilanpasa pooja was held at Daladamaligawa on 14 February to get the blessing to the Division. The GOC, Major General TJ Nanayakkara RWP USP ndu graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Flag hoisting ceremony also held at Div Headquarter with the participation of all officers and the other ranks of the Division staff.1st battalion of the Sri Lanka Rifle Corps offered the guard turnout and a parade to the GOC Further GOC addressed the troop and participated for a tea party followed by all rank lunch.

The direction of the Commander of the Security Forces (Central) Major General WRP De Silva USP ndu IG ,a lecture to educate Army personnel in all formations under the Security Force Headquarters – Central on Human Rights took place on 14 February 2019 at the auditorium of Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) in Diyatalawa.A total of 10 Army Officers and 85 Other Ranks were participated for the lecture, Coordinating Officer of District Human Rights Commission,Badulla Ms P Francy conducted the lecture for nearly 4 hours.
