A tree planting programme was conducted in Porppitiya Grama Niladhari division in Ududumbara on 31 December 2019 by Arunaloka Foundation in Kengalla Viharaya. Responding to a request made by the organizing committee from the General Officer Commanding of 11 Division, one Officer and twenty five soldiers of Sri Lanka Rifle Corps contributed to make this event a success.
At this tree planting programme, 1000 Mee as well as Kumbuk plants were planted with the assistance of the military personnel. Therefore, the contribution of the Sri Lanka Army was highly appreciated by the organizing committee.
