The troops contributed to this campaign under the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General WRP De Silva USP ndu IG as a community project on National Independence Day. For this, Historical Garrison Anglican Church situated closer to Navy Holliday Bungalow at Diyatalawa was selected as it was partly neglected as it situated inside the camp premises. 5 Officer and 25 other ranks belong to Security Forces Central who assisted and contributed on this special day.

In addition, 26x81 officers and other ranks have been participating in this lecture, In order to explain the discourse, a staff member at Colombo NARA institute clarified the processes that should be followed by the actual consumption of fish consumed by the army personnel

According to the concept of the Commander of the Army and the direction of the Commander Security Forces Headquarters (Central) three days leadership workshop was conducted for the students of Kirawanagama Nawodya Maha Vidyalaya on 11,12 and 13 January 2019 at School premises. This workshop was successfully conducted with the participation of 61 students and they were lectured on Leadership and were educated on importance of Physical Fitness and Team Work.

11 Division organized the second stage of Officers Training Workshop for Officers at the Headquarter 1 Battalion Sri Lanka Rifle Corps, on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General WRP De Silva USP ndu IG and the General Officer Commanding 11 Division Major General TJ Nanayakkara RWP USP ndu on 09 January 2019. 60 x Officers from under Comd Bns were participated for the workshop and it was terminated successfully.

A dhamma sermon and meditation programme was conducted at Security Forces Headquarters (Central) for Officers as well as Other Ranks at the Headquarters, on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General WRP De Silva USP ndu IG. This was conducted on 10 January 2019 from 1530 hours to 1730 hours at the lecture hall of the Headquarters, aiming to uplift the spiritual values and moral values of the Offrs & ORs.

121 Brigade organized series of programmes to celebrate the 5th Anniversary of 121 Brigade in Brigade premises on 09 January 2019.The Brigade Commander Brigadier NC Somaweera RWP RSP USP grace the occasion as the chief guest. Flag hoisting ceremony was held at Headquarters 121 Brigade with the participation of all officers and the other ranks of the brigade staff.18 Gamunu Watch was offer the guard turnout to the Brigade Commander.Further he planted a Mango sapling in remembrance of the 5th anniversary of 121 brigade. Following that Brigade Commander addressed the troop then participated for a tea party then all rank lunch.

A sudden fire occurred in a 4 storied building in Yatinuwara street Kandy in the morning on 08 January 2019. The mentioned area is located within Security Forces (Central) responsible area and the troops of 2 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment assisted local authorities to controlled the fire on the directions of the Commander Security Forces (Central) Major General WRP De Silva USP ndu IG and General Officer Commanding 11 division Major Genetal TJ NanayakkaraRWP USP ndu and the Commanding Officer 2 SLSR also went to the scene with his troops.
