THE WALK OF TWO DISABLED SOLDIERS TOOK PLACE ACROSS THE SF (CEN )AOR

Soldiers of Sri Lanka Army dedicatedly fought 30 years war in order to wipe the terrorism from the soils of the mother land. In achieving this, most of the soldiers who got wounded and disabled during the war are still under medication. The commitment of them to make a fear free society is appreciated all the time and the whole nation is grateful to them.

In retrospection of their dedication and to add glamour to their monotones lives, two disabled soldiers from Army and Navy commenced a walk from Nagadeepa on 22 October 2019 stating a new world record. When they reached Kiriwehera in Kataragama, located in the responsible area of Security Forces (Central), they received a warm welcome as well as they were assisted immensely by the Senior officers, Officers and other ranks of the under command formations of the Security Forces (Central). Moreover, on 05th December 2019 they walked from Ginigathhena to Diyagala and on 06th December 2019 from Diyagala up to Nallathanniya they had continued their walk. The same welcome as well as the assistance of the Central troops was received at each place they were passing during the walk.
