MILITARY PERSONNEL DISTRIBUTE SCHOOL ACCESSORIES.

Distribution of school accessories was taken place at Inguruwatta School, located in a remote village in Doluwa area, which is under command to 111 Brigade of Security Force Headquarters (Central) on 23 December 2019 at the school premises. Prior to this programe, the parents launched a shramadana campaign and the soldiers from 111 Brigade also provided the labour assistance for this.

In order to improve the education of the students from low income families, this donation was organized with the financial assistance as well as the participation of Mr Ranil Fernando and his family from Negambo. Further, the staff of 111 Brigade and the Director Education of Gampola Pradeshiya Sabha also participated in this charity programme.

At a brief ceremony, each student was provided a pair of shoes, a school bag, books as well as other school accessories aiming to uplift their education. Moreover, on the same day, lunch also was offered for the students by 111 Brigade.
