TROOPS COOPERATE THE CENTRAL PROVINCIAL COUNCIL TO CLEAN THE ENVIRONMENT.

“The Environment is Worshipful” (Parisaraya Pujaniyai) is an annual programme which is launched to protect the environment by the Central Provincial Council and this year also the said programme was launched on 28 and 29 July 2019 in the Kandy District aiming to clean the city prior to the Esala Perahera. The Governor of Central Province, President’s Counsel Mithri Gunarathne along with Officers of Tri Forces and Police and other state workers actively participated in this nature friendly programme.

Further, four officers and ninety soldiers of 11 Division provided the assistance on the direction of the Commander Security Forces (Central), Major General G J L Waduge RWP RSP VSV USP ndu to conduct this event successfully.
