STRONG CONTINGENT FROM VIJAYABAHU INFANTRY REGIMENT READY TO DEPARTURE FOR UN PEACE KEEPING MISSIONS
One more Sri Lankan Army contingent, comprised of Navy and Air Force personnel on UN Peace Keeping Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), due to leave the island shortly had its passing out parade at Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Regimental Headquarters premises at Boyagane, Kurunagala on Friday (31.10.2014).
The 850 strong contingent from Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment included Navy and Air Force personnel, is commanded by Colonel M.P.A.K. Wijenayake of VIR and is expected to leave during the last week of November, 2014.
