\'Rana Sura Padakkama\' (RSP) Awarded to 230 More VIR War Heroes
Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR), one of the most prestigious infantry units of the Army, honoured one more segment of 230 War Heroes by awarding \'Rana Sura Padakkama\' (RSP) gallantry medals during a ceremony at VIR\'s \'Salute Reception\' hall at VIR Regimental Headquarters, Boyagane on Friday (21).
Spouses and family members of 20 fallen VIR War Heroes and 10 retired War Heroes were included among the total of 230 gallantry medal recipients who accepted those honorary accolades from Major General Jagath Dias, Colonel of the Regiment, VIR during the ceremony.
A large gathering of senior officers, retired senior officers, parents and invitees witnessed the event.
