The 1st Battalion of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps proudly celebrated its 43rd Anniversary on 01st September 2022 marking yet another milestone. In celebration of the anniversary a series of programmes were organized with the participation and the direction of the Commanding Officer Major J R P K Galhena SLAWC.

The new chairperson of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs Apsara Ranawaka assumed the office on 07 July 2022 at the Regimental Headquarters SLAWC. A brief ceremony was organized at the Regimental Headquarters SLAWC to mark the occasion, giving priorities to religious observances.

The Inauguration ceremony of newly constructed "warrant officers and Sergeant Mess" of 2 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps opened under the patronage of the Commander Security Force Headquarters (Wanni) and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps Major General Champaka Ranasinghe on the invitation of Commanding Officer 2 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps, Lieutenant Colonel Asitha Dharmadasa on 24 March 2022 at Security Force Headquarters (Wanni).

The inaugural ceremony of the first ever “Field Engineering Basic Module and Humanitarian Demining Course” organized by Sri Lanka Army Corps of Engineers for Sri Lanka Women’s Corps was commenced on 30th December 2021 at the Field Engineer Brigade , Boo Oya.
