  • MAJOR S G M PREMATHILAKE SLAWC ASSUMED DUTIES AS THE 20th COMMANDING OFFICER OF 2(V) SLAWC

    Major S G M Premathilake SLAWC assumed duties as the 20th Commanding Officer of 2(V) Sri Lanka Army Women's Corps on 31 March 2023 giving prominence to Buddhist and religious observances at 2(V) SLAWC premises.

  • SLAWC ARRANGED ANOTHER SPECIAL PROGRAMME

    Troops of 4th Volunteer Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps along with 14 Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment offered special lunch to teachers and children at Kalamurippu Government Tamil Mixed School on 30 March 2023. This Programme was initiated with the supervision of Brigadier DBL Kolonne USP, The Brigade Commander of 641 Infantry Brigade under the guidance of Mrs Shyamali Wijesekera, President of SLAWC Seva Vanitha Branch and Mr Jaan Vimarshane Kurera provided the financial contribution to the project.

    The officers of the Regimental Center Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps arranged a farewell dinner to convey their heartiest gratitude for the distinguish service rendered by outgoing senior lady officer Maj Chathurika Bombuwala on 02nd March 2023 at Officer’s Mess of RC SLAWC with the participation of Centre Commandant along with officers of Regimental Centre and representatives from battalions. Colonel Commandant and the President of SLAWC Seva Vanitha Branch along with all officers presented a memento to the Maj Chathurika Bombuwala as an appreciation of the valuable service rendered to this prestigious organization and she made a personal financial donation to Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps too.
