The Officers and Other Ranks of the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps, arranged a series of events to convey their heartiest gratitude for the distinguished service rendered by the 23rd Outgoing Colonel Commandant Major General Darshana Wijesekera RWP RSP USP rcds psc on 11th December 2023 at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps. The ceremonial formalities were commenced with a guard turnout, all ranks tea, Troop Address and Farewell Dinner.
The Centre Commandant of SLAWC Brigadier Rohan Jayakody RWP USP along with Regimental Sergeant Major Ms APN Madumali presented a memento to the outgoing Colonel Commandant as an appreciation of the valuable service rendered to the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps during the troop address.
Further Brigadier Rohan Jayakody RWP USP, the Centre Commandant of SLAWC on behalf of All the Officers of SLAWC presented a special gift to Major General Darshana Wijesekera as a token of appreciation for his yeoman’s service rendered to SLAWC during the farewell dinner.
And also, Mrs Idunil Jayakody the Vice President of SLAWC Seva Vanitha Unit presented the special memento to Mrs Shyamali Wijesekera on behalf of all the members of SLAWC Seva Vanitha Unit, in order to convey heart-full gratitude for the service rendered as the President of SLAWC Seva Vanitha Unit.
