International women’s day was celebrated on 10th March 2023 with the guidance of Commanding Officer Major T T K K Fernando psc participated entire women cadre, who are presently deployed at 1SLAWC.
As the first segment of the day, Dr. Priyangani Jayasundara (International Training Consultant in Educational Management) conducted an introductory lecture on “Dress and Appearance”. Thereafter, Mr.Amila Ranasinghe and his team conduct a workshop of “Resin Art”. An aesthetic segment “Jeewithayata Aruthak” was conducted by Mr.kasun Gunarathne (Principle of Mahinda Rajapaksha College at Homagama).
During the afternoon session, staff of People’s Bank from Borella Branch conducted an awareness program about savings and its benefits for women. International women’s day 2023 celebrations came to an end with a colorful musical program to entertain the participants.
