On Wednesday, June 28, 250 Army personnel and local residents of Point Pedro worked on a project to remove piles of trash and environmental pollutants that had been lying along the sathkotai to urani beach, under the direction of Major General, S.R.K. Hettiarchchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Commander, Security Forces Jaffna.
With the intention of developing harmony between the civilian population and the Army, a shramadana campaign was conducted at the Iththiadi Pulleyar kovil in Sankaththanai Grama niladhari area on 24 June 2023 with the participation of Officers and Other Ranks of the 7th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment under the 52 Infantry Division and 523 Infantry Brigade.

A series of events were organized by the troops of Security Forces (Jaffna) to celebrate Poson Poya Day as per the guidance of overlooking Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu on 03rd June 2023. 513 Infantry Brigade successfully completed another humanitarian intervention once again. ‘Bath Dansala’ (rice and curry) is a popular Buddhist tradition where free meals and refreshments are offered to the public, regardless of their religion or social status. The aim of this initiative was to promote communal harmony and cooperation among the people, especially during the Vesak and Poson Festivals, which is celebrated by Buddhists worldwide.
