Construct a New House For a Needy Family in Kadaikadu

In a heartwarming display of compassion and support, Troops of the Security Forces (Jaffna) has undertaken a noble initiative by handing over the 769th house to an underprivileged family in Jaffna peninsula.

The new house handing over ceremony to the family of Mr. S Jesly Jayaraj, an under privileged family in J/429 Vaththirayan, Kadaikadu, was held with the gracious presence of the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc amid a brief ceremony held on 18 June 2023.

This new house was built under the complete supervision of the General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division, Major General Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG, and financial contributions was provided by well-wishers through his personal contacts. 12th (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment troops provided much-required manpower for the construction work under the guidance of Commander 553 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Saman Perera RSP.

During the brief ceremony, dry ration packs and essential household items required for this newly opened house were donated by the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna).

SSP Kilinochchi Division SSP Ajith Gunaratne, Brigadier Admin & Quartering of Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna), Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Government Officials, beneficiaries and their family members, troops of the Security Forces Jaffna were present at the event.
