An Army initiative, taken by the 55 Infantry Division resulted in the donation of a sewing machine to a necessitous but courageous widow, Maduran Nadiya (Age 36) resident in the general area of Kevil in Jaffna under command to 55 Infantry Division on 29th October 2022 as an effort to bring economic stability and empowering the well deserving family. Further, the troops of 55 Infantry Division extended their support to make a proper place for tailoring with the intention of laying the foundation strengthening the backbone of the family and the bedrock of a Nation.

As per the direction of the General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division, Major General Mahendra Fernando all Kovils in Jaffna were arranged for the Deepavali festival for the devotees to attend the rituals with comfortness along with the respective priests by the under command Brigades.
A group of 30 Army personnel (Other Ranks) from various Regiments serving under the Security Forces (Jaffna) joined a special English Language Training Course ( Number-5) that got to a start on 25th October 2022 at the Headquarters, Security Forces (Jaffna).
