Keeping another step forward in the endeavour of 55 Infantry Division to provide an opportunity for the school children in the AOR to learn English Language, another class was commenced at Headquarters 1st Mechanized Infantry Regiment, IYAKKACHCHI, JAFFNA.
This community project, which was undertaken on the conceptual guidance of Major General Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG the General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division was underway at 55 Infantry Division, KADDEIKADU, JAFFNA since year 2022 where 75 children in the area are able to benefit. In this context giving due consideration to the need to extend the same opportunity to the school children living in PALEI/IYAKKACHCHI areas. Captain Roshni Ranasinghe, English Instructor at Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) will conduct the classes with the participation of 20 school students under the supervision of Brigadier Wijayanath Jayaweera USP psc the Commander 552 Infantry Brigade and number of Senior Officers participated for this event as a Military Aid to Civil Community (MACC) programe under Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna).
