High Commissioner of South Africa to Sri Lanka Visits Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna)

High Commissioner of South Africa to Sri Lanka His Excellency Sandile Edwin Schalk paid a courtesy visit to the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) on Monday 31 October 2022. His Excellency the Ambassador and the visiting delegation were warmly welcomed by Major General Chandana Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) at the Headquarters premises of Security Forces (Jaffna).

The delegation discussed on current engagements of Security Forces and commitment to well – being of the civilians and in promotion of Peace and Reconciliation in the Jaffna Peninsula with special emphasis on reconciliation process in order to upgrade the civil-military development programmes. After the discussion with the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), High Commissioner of South Africa, His Excellency Sandile Edwin Schalk greatly appreciated the service of Security Forces.

Before leaving the visiting High Commissioner of South Africa, left his compliments in the visitors’ book and made a special note, appreciating the Security Forces (Jaffna) for their sheer commitment and dedication towards strengthening the Peace, Democracy & Justice among the civilians in Jaffna.

Afterwards, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) and His Excellency the High Commissioner of South Africa exchanged mementoes for further strengthening of goodwill and cooperation. Colonel General Staff of the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) also associated with the meeting, which was held at the Headquarters.
