The annual water cutting ceremony of the historic Marimuthu Amman Temple, KKS, Jaffna, took place at KKS beach in morning hours on 24 February 2024.

Security Forces Commander Jaffna, Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc made his maiden official visit to the Army Base Hospital, Palali on 16th February 2024. The Commanding Officer of the Hospital Major Chinthaka Wijesinghe warmly welcomed the Commander, following the military traditions. Logistic Commander Major General Menaka Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, Brigadier General Staff Brigadier Priyantha Nawarathne RWP RSP ndu and Brigadier Admin and Quartering Brigadier Kausal Weerasinghe USP also attended at the visit.
Jaffna Commander Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc after assuming the duty, as per the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), he initiated the visit to St. Luke's Methodist Elders' Home in Puttur and organized an Alms Giving and a small entertainment programme for residential 35 adults to enjoy.
