Security Forces Jaffna Conducted a Symposium to Discuss Contemporary Local and International Security

Security Forces (Jaffna) organized a symposium for Grade 1 Army Officers aimed to acquire the knowledge on contemporary local and international security issues with the interaction of renowned Professor David Brewster, Colonel Amanda Johnston, the Defence Attache to Australian High Commission and Captain Simon Batterman (Australian Navy) on Monday, 11 March.

55 Infantry Division Distributed Baby Equipment Packs for Expectant Mothers to Mark the International Women's Day

As a good will gesture and also to maintain a strong bond with the community in Kilinochchi District, 55 Infantry Division distributed 30 packs of baby equipment for expectant mothers at Kilinochchi Hospital to mark the International Women’s Day on 08 March 2024.Further, lunch was given for women who are admitted to hospitals at Akkarayankulam, Poonakary, Veravil and Dharmapuram by 551, 552 and 553 Infantry Brigades.

International Women’s Day Celebrated with Grandeur by Jaffna Troops

To be in parallel with the International Women’s Day,7th Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps organized a special woman’s day programme at 51 Infantry Division on 08th March 2024. Under the guidance of Jaffna Commander, Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the event was colourfulled with a volleyball tournament, art competition and handy craft competition.

Security Forces (Jaffna) Launces Tree Planting Project to Symbolically Adieu District Secretary of Jaffna

The Sri Lanka Army, throwing its full weight behind the national tree planting campaign synchronizing the retirement of District Secretary of Jaffna Mr. A. Sivabalasundran, launched a project to plant ‘Tamarind Trees’ along the roadside of Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna).
