To be in parallel with the International Women’s Day,7th Battalion Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps organized a special woman’s day programme at 51 Infantry Division on 08th March 2024. Under the guidance of Jaffna Commander, Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the event was colourfulled with a volleyball tournament, art competition and handy craft competition.
General Officer Commanding, 51 Infantry Division, Major General SWB Welagedara RSP VSV USP ndc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Towards the end of the day’s commemoration, the winners were offered special gifts and all the participants were awarded with certificates.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna), 51 Infantry Division and a huge gathering of civilians attended the event.
