551 Infantry Brigade Troops Join Kilinochchi Town Cleaning Project

551 Infantry Brigade troops of the 55 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ - Jaffna, together with Kilinochchi Police, Civil Security Department and Kilinochchi-based civil organizations launched a cleaning campaign in Kilinochchi town. This cleaning project was implemented on both sides of the A9 road and in the town area. The effort was appreciated by the people in the area.

Jaffna Troops Experienced a Workshop on Camera Technology and Video Camera Technology

Two days’ workshop conducted by the Metropolitan Technologies (Pvt) Ltd on mirrorless camera technology and video camera technology was held at Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) on 22 and 23 April. It was organised with the instruction and direction of Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Force (Jaffna) in order to groom professionals on camera and video camera technology and 10 Officers and 65 Other Ranks representing Security Forces Headquarters, Division Headquarters, Brigade Headquarters and Battalions participated.

Offering Refreshments for the Devotees During the Visit to Our Lady of Madhu at st. Nikalas Church, Mirisuvil

With the guidance of General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division Major General Y A B M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Officers and Other Ranks of 52 Infantry Division along with 523 Infantry Brigade, 23 Battalion the Gemunu Watch and 7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment offered snacks for around 1500 devotees who participated to receive the blessing of Our Lady of Madhu during the visit at St. Nikalas Church on 20 April 2024. The devotees extended their gratitudes to the military for such arrangements.

Our Lady of Madhu Progressed Around the Security Forces (Jaffna)

The statue of Our Lady of Madhu is being taken on procession to parishes of the Dioceses in Jaffna Peninsula from 06 April to 30 April. The statue has been progressed around Palaly and reached St. Antony’s Church, Urany on 16 April. Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Force (Jaffna) visited the Church and joined the other devotees to welcome Our Lady of Madhu.

Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) Celebrated Oil Anointing Ceremony

Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) celebrated a significant auspicious Oil Anointing (Hisa Thel Gama) ceremony at the Headquarters premises with the presence of Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Security Force Commander in the Morning on 15 April. The Chief Monk of Tissa Viharaya, conducted the ceremony.
