Two days’ workshop conducted by the Metropolitan Technologies (Pvt) Ltd on mirrorless camera technology and video camera technology was held at Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) on 22 and 23 April. It was organised with the instruction and direction of Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of Security Force (Jaffna) in order to groom professionals on camera and video camera technology and 10 Officers and 65 Other Ranks representing Security Forces Headquarters, Division Headquarters, Brigade Headquarters and Battalions participated.
During the two days, participants were able to gain valuable knowledge covering both theory and practical knowledge on introduction to camera technology, introduction to video camera technology, still - video live streaming, still - out door and a number of other important areas.
Brigadier KJNMPK Nawarathna RWP RSP ndu, Brigadier General Staff, explained the objective of the Jaffna Commander in organising such an important workshop and Mr. Taslim Rahaman, Director of the Metropolitan Technologies (Pvt) Ltd explained the objectives and expectations of the instructors at the very beginning of the course.
During the closing ceremony participants were awarded with a valuable certificate on ‘Mirrorless Camera & Video Camera Technology’ and Jaffna Commander, the Director of Metropolitan Technologies (Pvt) Ltd, Senior Officers, officers and instructors participated in the ceremony.
