23rd Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment under the 242 Brigade of 24 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), organized a rice dansel at the premises of Kotawehera Viharaya, Pansalgoda on 02nd June 2015. (Troops participated 04 x 15)

23 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), organized a Poson Zone at the entrance of 23 Div, Punani on 02nd and 03rd June 2015 and it was declared open by the Major General NJ Walgama RSP USP ndu psc Commander Security Forces (East), This event was coloured with attractive lanterns, pandols as well as Poson Bhakthi Gee. A Rice Dansel was organized to provide rice to all participants came to visit poson Zone.

22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), organized a rice dansel at the Trincomalee market, Anuradapura junction in parallel with Poson Full Moon Poya Day. It was declared open by the Honourable Governor of Eastern Province Mr. Austin Fernando and District Secretary of Trincomalee Mr. NAA Pushpa Kumara at pm hours on 02.06.2015.

Poson Festival of this year at 24 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), was organized in a grand scale at Buddhangala Raja MahaViharaya with the patronage of the Commander of the Army Lt Gen AWJC De Silva RWP USP ndu psc. The exhibition of Sacred Relics of the Omniscient and two Chief Disciples was declared open by the Commander of the Army accompanying Mrs. Nayana De Silva, the spouse of the Commander of the Army on 03 June 2015.rnrnFurther, a rice dansel was organized in order to provide rice for the devotees who came to worship Buddhangala Raja Maha Viharaya.

24th Sri Lanka National Guard located at Ichchalanpaththu under the 222 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), organized a herbal drink dansel at the Regiment premises in parallel with Poson Full Moon Poya Day.

222 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), organized a rice dansel and several other Poson activities in parallel with Poson Full Moon Poya Day. It was organized with the sponsorship of Sunil Muthumala, owner of Sunil Traders with the assistance of 22 Div and 222 Bde. The dansel was declared open by the Commander Security Force (East) Major General NJ Walgama RSP USP NDU psc after offering alms to 300 Reverence monks at 1130 hrs on 02.06.2015. Nearly 25000 devotees who came to worship Somawathie Viharaya were provided cooked rice at the Poson dansela.
