23 Division organized a Blood Donation Programme at HQ 23 Division - Punani on 20 July 2015 to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Division in view to fulfil the blood requirement of Teaching Hospital Batticaloa which is running short of blood required by the patients. Dr Yasindu Fernando and staff of Batticaloa Teaching Hospital provided assistance to mark the event a success.

Defence Adviser to the High Commission of Bangladesh in CBO Commodore Aslsm Parvez (TAS) nswc afwc psc visited Security Forces Headquarters (East) Welikanda on 23 rd July 2015 and discussed the Present situation and Future developments in Eastern Theatre with the Commander Security Forces (East) Maj Gen NJ Walgama RSP USP ndu psc at the SF Headquarters.

176 Books were donated to the library of Welikanda Maha Vidyalaya by the Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs, Lieutenant Colonel WRJ Makawita which Sponsored by the Commander Security Forces (East), Major General SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG on 22nd January 2015.

27th Sri Lanka National Guard located at Echchalanpattu under 222 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Force Headquarters (East) donated dry rations for 03 pregnant women and 08 children under 01 year, from selected families, chairs & tables for the Dhamma School of Thapassara Rajamaha Vihara and 02 cupboards for Shilpa Preschool.

Commander 232 Brigade participated for the occasion held at Pulipanchikal Vidyalaya. (Troops participated 05 x 15)

12th (V) Regt Sri Lanka Artillery placed under the 232 Brigade of 23 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East) distributed 141 x cashew plants which sponsored by Dilmah (Pvt) Limited, among the residing Kudumbimale GS division on on 24th Jan 2015. Commander 232 Brigade participated for the occasion held at Kumaran Vidyalaya. (Troops participated 03 x 08)

5th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery located in Thopur under 224 Brigade of 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, organized a$$shramadhana$$ campaign to clear the surrounding of $$Patalipuram Kovil$$ on 26 January 2015.(Troops participated 01 x 08)
