6th Battalion of Sri Lanka Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment located at Thiriyaya under the 221 Brigade of 22 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), organized a \"shramadana\" campaign to clean the premises of Ayurvedic Hospital in Nilaweli on 5th June 2015. (Troops participated 00 x 06)

17th Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment located in Kandakadu under 233 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area, distributed of 100 x dry ration packets for 100 x families in the area on 07th July 2015 with the sponsorship of Mr Athula Siriwardana and the participation of Commanding Officer of 17 SLLI. (Troops participated 03 x 10)

A lecture on economical use of electricity was conducted at Welikanda Maha Vidyalaya on 08 June 2015 under the guidance of the Commander of 23 Division Maj Gen DDUK Hettiarachchi RSP USP ndu psc. Officers and ORs from all the Brigades and Regiments under 23 Div in the AOR of Security Forces (East) were present for the lecture and they were educated by Mr Thavaneswaran, the Deputy General Manager of Ceylon Electricity Board in Eastern Province along with several other officers. At the end of the programme every participant was given out a handbook of instructions.

23rd Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment located at Sengamuwa under the 242 Brigade of 24 Division in the AOR of Security Force (East), organized a \"shramadana\" campaign to clean the premises of Manachchena School in Sangamankanda 9 June 2015. (Troops participated 00 x 05)

A timely initiative of Brig N Hathurusinghe psc IG Hdmc of Comd 233 Bde, a newly constructed \"Sangawasaya\" at Sri Bodhirukkaramaya Temple was declared open by the Commander, Security Force (East) Maj Gen NJ Walgama RSP USP ndu psc at Mailankarachchi on 10 June 2015. Financial assistance to construct the building was born by Mr. SA Somarathna while the manpower was provided by Army troops of 233 Brigade. A tree planting was also taken place to mark this event at the temple premises.

16th Sri Lanka National Guard located under the 241 Brigade of 24 Division in the AOR of Security Forces (East) organized a \"shrmadana\" campaign to clean the premises of Sarana Children and Elders Home on 12th June 2015. (Troops participated 04 x 21)

A newly constructed \"Danashala\" at Sri Kanda Temple Galkanda was declared open by Brig N Hathurusinghe psc IG Hdmc Comd of 233 on 14th June 2015. Financial assistance to construct the building was born by Mr.BuddhiPerera and his family under the close supervision of the commanding officer 17 SLLI.

Security Forces Headquarters (East) has made arrangements to distribute packets of sweets among the children of Vakarei DS Division on 21 June 2015. Brig AQ of Security Forces Headquarters (East) Brig DCS Wanniarachchi Lsc along with several other staff officers and other ranks participated for the event. About 1000 packets were distributed among the children. (Troops participated 08 x 23)
