8th Gemunu Watch located under 231 Bde in 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area offered refreshment with a snack to the villagers who parcipated for the Divine Service in Pillumale Catholic Church,on 4th May 2013.

8th Gemunu Watch located under 231 Bde in of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area Organized an Awareness Program with regarded use of Thunder Flashes to restrict Elephants in to Villages for the Benefit of Unnachchiya Gandhi Nagar Villagers on 06th May 2013. The Event Organized with the Assistance of Wild Life Officers. 300 x Elephant firecrackers were distributed amongst villagers of Unnachchiya Gandhi Nagar GN Division.

18th Sinha Regiment Located in Batticaloa Under 231 Bde of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) area, Organized a Shramadhana Campaign with the participating Civilians, to Clear the area of Sippimadu School in Batticaloa On 07 May 2013.

8th Sri Lanka National Guard under 232 Brigade of 23 Division located in Periyawadduwan under Security Forces (East) facilitated to Organizing Sports Meet in Iralakkulam school to enhance the sportsmanship amongst the students and the young generation of the area on 06 May 2013.

6th Vijayabahu Regiment located in 221 Brigade area under 22 Div in Security Force (East) Renovated the Drinking water and Drainage system of the Periyakulam Preschool with the financial assistance of Rs 40000.00 contributed by donors Oversees on 8 th May 2013 to 11 th May 2013

As per the concept of Commander Security Forces (East) Maj Gen SAAL Perera RWP RSP USP ndu IG, Commander Task Force 3 Brig SHFP Perera RSP conducted a meeting with all Religious leaders in the Ampara and Baticolo district on 07 May 2013 at Ninthaur Vocational Training Center with the aim of building harmony amongst religious leaders. Positive sentiments were expressed by participants. 63 Religious leaders , Commander 631 Bde, Commander 632 Bde, senior officers participated to the said Meeting.

233 Brigade of 23 Division in the Security Forces (East) area, Distributed of gift packets with Readymade Garments to 85 members of Vanila Elders Society in Uriyankaddu village on 9 May 2013. The event was held at Uriyankaddu GN Office with the financing assistance of Mr A S R Karunarathna, motor vehicle valuator at Eastern Province. Brig W S Ariyasinghe RSP graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Several Military and Civil dignitaries along with Villagers of Uriyankaddu Village participated for this event.
