233 Brigade under 23 Division in Security Force (East) assist to Distribute 80 X Cows for underprivileged families in Kurulubedda area at Sri Sudarshanarama Temple in Kurulubaddha with the financial assistant of Donors in Colombo area organized by Rev Diviyagaha Yasassi Mahanayaka Thero, on 27 July 2013. A new "Sangawasa" was also declared opened at Sri Sudarshanarama Temple in Kurulubaddha along with the Occasion. Major General Lal Perera RWP RSPUSP ndu IG Commander Security Forces (East), along with several Military, Religious and Civil Dignitaries were present for the Function.

8th Sri Lanka National Guard located under 232 Bde of 23 Division in Security Forces (East) Distributed Lunch Packets for 30 X Students and 2 X Teachers of Muruthana Vinayagar Palar Pre School in Koralepaththu on 02 Aug 2013.

12th Regiment Sri Lanka Artillery located under 231 Brigade of 23 Division in Security Forces (East), area Organized a "Shramadhana Campaign" to clean the Sri Buddha Jayanthi Temple in Valachchanai on 01st August 2013.

Officers and Other Ranks who are serving under 632 Brigade Donated Rs 8740/= for Medical treatments of the eldest child of Mr W.A. Wijesiri of Panampattu,Komari who also a disabled and suffered from an incurable Illness. at a function conducted at the Headquarters of 632 Brigade, Komari. All Commanding Officers along with the commander 632 Brigade, Colonel P.H Sirishantha and his staff were present for the function.

The Annual Pooja ceremony of "Sri Mamagam Eshvaram Alayam Amurthakali Pilleyar Kovil" in Batticaloa was held on 01st Aug to 06 Aug 2013. Major General Lal Perera RWP RSPUSP ndu IG, Commander Security Forces (East) participated a special ceremony on 5th August 2013 along with several Military and Civil dignitaries.

With an aim to enhance the relationship with the Muslim community, 224 Brigade located in Thoppur under 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, assist to conduct and participated for an "IFTAR" programme conducted at Jummah Mosque in Mollipothana on 02th Aug 2013.

With an aim to enhance the relationship with the Muslim community, 2nd Gajaba Regiment located in 221 Brigade under 22 Division in Security Forces (East) area, conducted an "IFTAR" programme for 100 Muslim Devotees at the Headquarters, 2nd Gajaba Regiment, Trincomalee on 30th July 2013.
