Upon assumption of the office as the Commander Security Force (East), Major General Aruna Jayasekera visited the Headquarters Forwarded Maintain Area (East) - Minneriya on Tuesday (11). The Commander FMA (East) Major General Manoj Mudannayaka, received the Security Force (East) Commander and was accorded with a Guard Turnout at the entrance by the troops of 3 Electrical & Mechanical Engineers Regiment. Then the Commander planted a sapling in memory of his first official visit to the premises.

Unveiling the pinnacle (Kotha Nirawaranaya) of newly constructed Stupa at the Buddhist Centre Welikanda was held today (24th November 2018) under the patronage of the Commander Security Force (East) Major General Aruna Jayasekera coincide with his inauguration of the Office. Security Force Headquarters (East) facilitated this meritorious deed in line with the series of projects carried out to foster religious coexistence in the Eastern Province.

On the arrival of the visiting Commander SF-E at the 23 Division Headquarters, he was warmly welcomed by Brigadier Kapila Udalupola, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 23 Division, before he was accorded a Guard Turnout by the troops of 6th Gajaba Regiment in conformity with military traditions.
