A DISINFECTION CHAMBER SET UP AT SECURITY FORCE HEADQUARTERS (EAST)

Newly innovated Disinfection Chamber was installed at the main entrance of the Security Force Headquarters (East) Welikanda, on the directions of the Commander Security Forces (East) Major General Rasika Frnando and with the supervision of the Brigadier Admin and Quartering SFHQ(E) Brigadier Priyantha Weerasinghe on 02 May 2020.

Technicians of the 3rd Battalion of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers joined together and innovated this product at a very low cost considering the prevailing COVID-19 danger in the country. The new installation would be useful to decontaminate the Army personnel who are engaged in field duties outside Headquarters as a precautionary measure against the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.
