As part of the “Clean Sri Lanka” programme the 24 Infantry Division initiated a beach cleaning programme under the directions and guidance of the General Office Commanding, Major General HCL Galappatthi RSP USP. This beach cleaning programme was conducted by troops of the 241 Infantry Brigade and the 11 Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard on 11 January 2025.
