    THE INTER-REGIMENT PRACTICAL RIFLE SHOOTING COMPETITION

    In a display of precision, camaraderie, and unmatched skill, all regiments of the Sri Lanka Army recently converged for the Inter-Regiment Practical Rifle Shooting Competition 2024. The competition, hosted by the Army Small Arms Association (ASAA) held at the Diyatalawa "Fox Hill Field Firing Range" from 15 February to 20 February 2024.

  • PROVOST STUNT RIDER CORPORAL MADURANGA B I DISPLAYED COLOURS DURING THE ELIYAKANDA SPEED HILL CLIMB – 2024

    The Eliyakanda Speed Hill Climb Super Cross - 2024" , organized by the Southern Motor Sports Club was held on 24 and 25 February 2024 at the Picturesque Browns Hill, Matara. More than 120 stunt riders competed in various event under different categories. Representing the Sri Lanka Army, following NCOs of SLCMP competed the various events and took part competition under the categories mentioned against their names:

  • “HEROIC MOTIVATION THROUGH WAR LITERATURE” LECTURE CONDUCTED AT SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE

    It is thrilled to announce an enlightening lecture titled "Heroic Motivation through War Literature”, conducted by the esteemed Author, unsung poet Lt Col Sujith Chaminda Edirisinghe SLACAL from Directorate of Psychological Operation. This engaging session took place at the Corporals’ Club - Regimental Center Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 22 February 2024. The Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, the Centre Commandant and more than 700 Officers and Other ranks were present at the audience in both physically and virtually.

  • “STRENGTHENING THE PROVOST BONDS WITH SISTER SERVICES” CADETS OF INTAKE NO. 67 OF THE SLAF PROVOST BRANCH VISITS THE SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE HEADQUARTERS

    In a significant display of Inter-Service collaboration and camaraderie, a provost Cadet Officer from the Sri Lanka Air Force Officer Cadet Intake No. 67 paid an educational visit to the Regimental Headquarter - Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 22nd February 2024. Squadron Leader I L Jayathilaka, Officer Cadet K D R Fernando and 2 x NCOs from the SLAF Provost Branch arrived at the SLCMP Headquarters to foster closer ties and exchange insights on various aspects of military policing.

    MONTHLY MEETING AND GUEST LECTURE BY SLCMP SEVA VANITHA BRANCH

    In a commendable initiative to support and empower the backbone of the military community, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police recently organized a monthly meeting featuring a guest lecture on the crucial and often overlooked "Role of Army Wives". This masterpiece was initiated with the idea of the Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc. The lecture was conducted aiming to shed light on the multifaceted responsibilities, challenges, and contributions of military wife by Lieutenant Colonel Sujith Edirisinghe from Directorate of Psychological Operation.

    MILITARY POLICE PROVOST COURSE COMMENCES AT THE SCHOOL OF MILITARY POLICE

    With the conceptual objective of creating and producing qualified provost to Sri Lanka Army, the School of Military Police has proudly initiated the Military Police Provost Course 83 with the presence of 12 x Young Officers and 49 x Recruits on 19.02.2024. This groundbreaking course is tailored to equip young provost officers and recruits with the specialized skills and knowledge required for discharge the Military Police duties within the Sri Lanka Army.

    The “4th Inter Regiment 2-Mile Open Water Swimming Championship of 2024” was an athletic prowess that showcase the strength and physical power of the Sri Lanka Army. The event exemplified the values of discipline, resilience and human spirit in the face of high tide waves. Hence, Sri Lanka Army swimmers navigated across the blue water during the 4th Inter Regiment 2-Mile Open Water Swimming Championship 2024 marking a thrilling spectacle of endurance and determination.

  • 3 SLCMP BOOSTS THE WELLBEING OF DESERVED CHILDREN

    In coincide withthe 76th National Independence Day, a total of 211 Officers of the Sri Lanka Army (Regular and Volunteer Force) and 1239 Other Ranks of the SL Army were received promotions on 04 February 2024.

The eagerly anticipated moment of the author, Colonel D D D Serasinghe USP the Commandant of School of Military Police has come to a reality with the unfolded celebration of literary achievement on 09.02.2024. The auditorium of the Mass Media Center sparkled with pleasure of authors, readers, and literary enthusiasts who gathered to witness the unveiling of a masterpiece. General G D H Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc MPhil, the Secretary, Ministry of Defence graced the pinnacle ceremony as the honorable Chief Guest.
