AN OFFICER CADET OF INTAKE NO. 68 OF THE SLAF PROVOST BRANCH VISITS SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE HEADQUARTERS

In a commendable gesture of inter-service cooperation and professional development, a Provost Officer Cadet from Intake No. 68 of the Sri Lanka Air Force paid an educational visit to the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) on 25 February 2025.

Officer Cadet DRAMSD Bandara, accompanied by Squadron Leader JACD Jayaweera, visited the SLCMP Headquarters with the objective of gaining insight into the operational framework and core responsibilities of the Corps.

The visit included a comprehensive lecture conducted by Maj K A M J Wijayakuruppu – OC Fd Coy 1 SLCMP, highlighting the role and tasks of the SLCMP, procedures related to traffic accidents, and the functioning of charge rooms. The Officer Cadet was also given the opportunity to witness detailed demonstrations of traffic accident procedure, visited the Crime Scene Evidence Display Room, the Provost Museum and the ceremonial motorcade layout.

This visit stands as a testament to the strong bonds between sister services and reflects the ongoing commitment to fostering unity, professionalism, and knowledge sharing among the tri-services.
