The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, the 17th edition of the Summer Paralympic Games, is an international multi-sport event governed by the International Paralympic Committee, held in Paris, France, from 28 August to 8 September 2024. Among the distinguished athletes representing Sri Lanka, S/678878 Warrant Officer II Dulan K A S from the 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (5 SLCMP) shone brightly in the Javelin Throw F44 Category.

The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) shooters secured the championship in the Service Regiment category at the Inter Regiment Combat Shooting Competition - 2024. This esteemed competition, organized by the Army Small Arms Association (ASAA) in collaboration with the Marksmanship and Sniper Training School (MSTS) at Diyatalawa, took place from 16 August to 25 August 2024. A total of 35 teams representing 23 regiments of the Sri Lanka Army participated in the event, competing in both open and novice categories. The annual event saw the participation of over 350 shooters, aiming to enhance the standards of rifle shooting to be on par with international levels.

Amidst the religious observances and the ceremonial formalities, Major B L K S Balasooriya Lsc assumed duties as the 07th Commanding Officer of 7th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (7 SLCMP) on 08th August 2024. The newly appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed by the Second in command of 7 SLCMP at the doorstep of the camp premises. Thereafter, the guard turnout was accorded by the troops of 7 SLCMP in honour of the Senior Officer.
