  • SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE CELEBRATES 35 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE

    The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) recently marked a significant milestone, celebrating its 35th anniversary in a grand and memorable fashion with a serious of well-organized events that reflected the Corps’ dedication to excellence, tradition and camaraderie. The War Heroes' Commemoration programme was held on 14th March 2025 at the 2nd Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police – Giritale. A Pirith chanting ceremony accompanied by a magnificent procession was held on 27 March 2025 followed by an alms-giving programme. The celebrations concluded with a ceremonial parade and all ranks get-togather with musical evening on 25 April 2025 at the Regimental Headquarters.

    The 2nd Regiment of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police proudly celebrated its 34th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in its long-standing journey of service and excellence.
    Sequential events were held in conjunction with the anniversary from 29th March to 1st April 2025, under the patronage of the Commanding Officer Lt Col HLSK Jayatissa Lsc.

  • REGIMENTAL CENTRE SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE HOLDS AN OVERNIGHT PIRITH CHANTING CEREMONY IN COMMEMORATION WITH 35TH REGIMENTAL DAY ANNIVERSARY

    In celebration of the 35th Regimental Day Anniversary, the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police organized an overnight Pirith Chanting Ceremony on 27 March 2025. The ceremony aimed to invoke blessings upon Provost fallen war heroes, serving Officers and Other Ranks, retired Officers and Other Ranks and civil staff of the Regiment. The ceremony was held under the esteemed guidance of The Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General ULJS Perera RSP USP nps psc.

    Colonel I R Hanthanearachchi officially assumed duties as the Commandant of the School of Military Police of Military Police. The formalities took place on 14 March 2025, with the welcome by Chief Instructor Major HMCC Sooriyabandara USP. A Guard Turnout and the planting of a sapling featuring a series of traditional military customs amidst solemn religious observances marking the commencement of his new appointment at the auspicious time. Chief Instructor and All Officers, Senior Non-Commissioned Officers, and Non-Commissioned Officers were presented at the occasion, reflecting the significance of this prestigious appointment.
