4TH REGIMENT SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE TURNS THE 30TH CHAPTER

Dignifying the name of “Provost” at Jaffna Peninsula, 4^th Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police marked its diligent endeavor over 30 years of long journey. Sequential events were held in coincide with the anniversary on 12^th ,13^th ,15^th ,16^th and 19^th July 2025 under the patronage of the Commanding Officer, Lt Col WDC Siriwardena psc Lsc.

On the evening of 12^th July, a Bodi Pooja program was conducted by troops of 4^th Regiment SLCMP as the initial step of magnificent event series. Also an Alms-giving program, a cleaning campaign at the Mailaddy Pullayar Kovil and Primary Medical Care Unit Kankesanthurai was held on 13^th July 2025. Thereafter Kovil Pooja was held on that evening in order to shower blessings for the all ranks of 4 SLCMP. To enhance the cooperation among the troops Cricket tournament and volleyball tournament was held on 15^th ,16^th July 2025.

On 19 July ceremonial program was began with a guard turn out and impressive parade in part with the 30^th Anniversary of 4^th regiment SLCMP gracing of the Commanding Officer as the Chief Guest. All ranks lunch was then held with the presence of the Officers and other ranks with the aiming to build up cooperation among all ranks and a friendly, healthy working atmosphere. The speech of the Commanding Officer created an opportunity to the all ranks to have a road map in succeeding in both professional and personal life.

The 30^th anniversary celebrations powered by a series of military, cultural and religious events came to an end with the all ranks get-together held in the camp premises by adding an utmost glorification to the prestige of the 4^th Regiment SLCMP.
