The Inter Unit Basketball Tournament - 2023 which was organized by Special Investigation Unit of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police with the intention of selecting new members to the regimental basketball team was held on 30 March 2023 at the basketball court of the Regimental Headquarters with the guidance of Major General AL Illangakoon , Commander FMA (Mullaittivu) and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police. The qualifying rounds were held on 20 and 21 of March 2023 and Final match was held between the "A team" of School of Military Police and 1st Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police team. The Championship won by the 1 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police team.

The newly constructed main entrance - Regiment Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Polhengoda was declared open by the Commander FMA (MLT) and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General AL Illangakoon on the invitation of the Commanding Officer - 1 SLCMP, Major E W H S Eramudugolla USP psc on 30 March 2023 during a simple ceromony at headquarters Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police. The Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army, Major General ACA De Zoysa USP HdmcLsc, the Center Commandant, Regiment Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Brigadier AMR Abeysinghe, Other Council members, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police participated for the event.

The retiring Brigadier BLR Bamunusinghe on Thursday (02 March) during a formal farewell ceremony, at Regimental Headquarters of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Polhengoda, was saluted in accordance with military traditions.
A Guard Turnout at the entrance upon his arrival saluted him before he was invited to receive the salute in the farewell parade, presented at RHQ parade square on his behalf. During the formal troop address, He thanked the Commander of the Army, all PSOs, the Colonel Commandant, all Officers of Provost family and all ranks for the support they extended during his tenure and urged them to cooperate with the incoming Provost Marshal in the same manner while safeguarding the reputation of the organization.
Later in the evening, a customary farewell dinner was hosted to the retiring senior officer with participating Provost Officers and their spouses. The Colonel Commandant of SLCMP delivered the farewell note extending a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation for the service of Brig Lakshman Bamunusinghe while recalling some of the salient achievements, milestone and memories of the senior officer.
The Commander FMA (MLT) and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General AL Illangakoon, The Commander FMA (North), Major General ACA De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, Council members, Senior Officers and Officers participated in the formal ceremony.
