  • CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW HOUSE FOR WOMEN PROVOST MEMBER

    Corner stone laying ceremony for the construction of a new house for S/681299 L/Cpl Amarasingha ADG of 1 SLCMP took placed on 07th April 2022 in No 121, Mahasenpura, Diulankadawala. The ceremony was graced by the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) & Commander Forward Maintenance Area (Mullaitivu) Major General Anil Ilangakoon. Full house construction of the project conceptualized by the Commander of the Army under the financial and labour assistance of Sri Lanka Army.

    Corner stone laying ceremony for the construction of a new house for retired S/677906 WO 11 Kumari SGM of 7 SLCMP took placed on 04th March 2022 in Kadurugahawaththa, Ruhunu Wijayaba Mawatha, Kadurupokuna North, Tangalle. The ceremony was graced by the Centre Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) Colonel Ramesh Sallay. 7th stage of the full house construction of the project conceptualized by the Commander of the Army under the financial and labour assistance of Sri Lanka Army.

  • Fall Out Ceremony – Basic Provost Course No 80

    The fall out ceremony of Provost Course - No 80 was held on 28thJanuary 2022 at School of Military Police - Giritale premises. Newly trained 309 Military Police soldiers, including 74 Women Military Police Soldiers from Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) ceremonially received Red Tops after completion of their course.

    Laying of foundation stone for the construction of a house for needy family of deceased S/678978 Cpl Abeyrathna GMRS of 2 SLCMP took placed on 20 December 2021 in Imbulana, Ruwanwella under the patronage of the Colonel Commandant Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) Major General Anil Illangakoon and with the participation of Centre Commandant Colonel Ramesh Sallay.

  • FALLING OUT CEREMONY - BASIC PROVOST COURSE NO – 79

    The Falling out ceremony of Provost Course No – 79 was held on 11th October 2021 at School of Military Police – Giritale premises. Newly trained 166 recruits from the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) were passed out after completing the course.

  • NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDER FORWARD MAINTENANCE AREA (MULLAITIVU) ASSUMED DUTIES AT HIS OFFICE

    The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) and newly appointed Commander Forward Maintenance Area – Mullaitivu (Comd FMA – MLT) Brigadier Anil Illangakoon assumed duties as the 16th Commander Forward Maintenance Area – Mullaitivu on 15 September 2021 which is deployed under Security Forces Headquarter - Mullaitivu.

  • NEW PROVOST MARSHAL ASSUMES DUTIES IN HIS OFFICE

    Brigadier B L R Bamunusinghe assumed duties as the 13th Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army on 13 September 2021 at Directorate of Provost, Army Headquarters at Sri Jayawardhanepura.

    Symbolizing the assumption of his new office, he signed an official document after observance of Buddhist religious rituals and due to the pandemic situation ceremony was limited only to the lighting of the traditional oil lamp.

    Centre Commandant SLCMP - Colonel RD Sallay, CO SIU - Colonel AMR Abeysinghe, Commanding Officers of SLCMP and Staff Officers including cross Section of Other Ranks of the Directorate of Provost were joined the occasion in extending best wishes for the newly assumed Provost Marshal.
