  • 23RD ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS OF THE SPECIAL INVESTIGATION UNIT

    23rd Anniversary of Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) was scheduled to be held on 6th June 2020. Earlier this has been postponed due to the pandemic situation (COVID 19), later on the 23rd Anniversary celebrations were commenced with the religious blessings on 21st August 2020, subsequently ceremonial formalities of Guard Turnout and Ceremonial Parade were accorded to the Commanding Officer of SIU Col AMR Abesinghe on 24th August 2020 and further day’s proceedings were followed by Troops address and all Ranks tea.

The construction was done mostly with locally arranged resources and with the commitment of all Officers and Other Ranks of 7 SLCMP

    Under the concept of the Commander of the Army, “Full Housing Project - Phase V”, a disabled NCO belongs to the 1st regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police S / 678929 L / Cpl Herath HJS who is currently under going treatment at the Ragama Ranaviru Sevana due to a Fetal accident got the opportunity to build a house with the finantial and labour assistance from SL Army. To begin with construction laying of foundation stone was done under the patronage of Major General LPR Premalal USP the Colonel Commandant Sri Lanka Corps of Military police at the auspicious time of 0737hrs on 10th August 2020.     Lieutenant Colonel RRP Perera assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Myladdy, Kankasanthurai on Saturday 1st Aug 2020 in a formal ceremony.
