The newly appointed Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General ACA De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc made his maiden visit to the 2nd Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police at Giritale on 25th April 2023 where he was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer 2 SLCMP Major NPEN Nerangama Usp Lsc after he was greeted with a Guard Turnout at the entrance.

The Commander FMA (MLT) and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Crops of Military Police Major General AL Illangakoon made an official visit to 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Crops of Military Police on 01 May 2023 prior to his retirement. On his arrival the Commanding Officer of 5 SLCMP, Major Manoj Suddagala warmly welcomed the Col Comdt at main entrance then he was accorded with a guard turnout and followed by sapling of a tree, Group photographs, troops address at the Lecture hall. Subsequently All Ranks tea took place at Cpl’s club and day’s proceedings were culminated with lunch at Officer’s Mess and finally departed symbolically signing the visitors book.

The Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police commemorated its 33rd anniversary on 27th and 28th April 2023 in a colorful and vibrant ceremony, held at the Regimental Centre, Polhengoda in the presence of the Colonel Commandant Major General AL Illanagakoon , the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army, Regimental Council members, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks.

“Contemporary Investigation Awareness course” has been held under the supervision of Provost Marshal, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc at Dte of Pro from 29 March 2023 to 04 April 2023 to enhance the knowledge of Other Ranks serving in the Dte of Pro. The course content includes Observations of audits in Public and Non public Funds, Observations related to the Procurement, Case studies on investigations related to the audits, Introduction of Military Law and Civil Law in relation to investigations, Preparation of traffic accident and investigation reports, Legal provisions of arresting of offenders, Case studies on investigations and traffic accidents. The attendees were received certificates as the testimony of completion.

The Regimental Headquarters, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) hosted a colorful farewell parade on 08 April 2023 for one of its proud Senior Officer, Brigadier DMA Bandara, who retired after a dedicated service rendered more than three decades.
