The Centre Commandant, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Colonel R D Sallay officially visited to the 7th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 02 July 2022. Upon his arrival he was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 7 SLCMP Maj S N K Halangoda USP psc Lsc. The day’s programme was lined up as a Planting of sapling, Camp Visit, Troops address and All Ranks tea.

Newly constructed accommodation premises for Senior Officers of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) was declared open by the Commander FMA (Mullaitivu) & Colonel Commandant of SLCMP Major General AL Illangakoon on 29 June 2022. It was constructed with the instructions and guidance of the Colonel Commandant and under the direct supervision of the Centre Commandant of SLCMP, Colonel RD Sallay. Few Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated for the event.

Upon the concept of the Colonel Commandant of SLCMP, The newly constructed “Provost Paradise Club” of RHQ SLCMP was declared open on 19 May 2022 by the Colonel Commandant of SLCMP and the Commander, FMA (Mullaitivu), Major General AL Illangakoon for intensifying the welfare facilities of all NCO’s of Srilanka Corps of Military Police and constructed with the guidance of the Centre Commandant of SLCMP, Colonel RD Sallay and under supervision of the Commanding Officer of SIU, Colonel AMR Abeysinghe with the supports of all ranks of SIU.

Maj IMK Suddagala Lsc assumed duties as the new Commanding Officer of 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 6th May 2022. The newly - appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed and accorded with a Guard Turnout. New Commanding Officer took over the duties with religious blessings and it was followed by a Group Photograph, Tree Planting, Troops Address and proceedings concluded with a All Ranks Tea.

Lt Col PDI Perera relinquished the appointment of Commanding Officer - 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 05th May 2022. The ceremonial formalities began with a Guard Turnout followed by a Group Photograph, Tree Planting, All ranks Lunch and Troops Address. The session end with offering Farewell Dinner to outgoing Commanding Officer at 5 SLCMP Officers' Mess. The formalities carried out in accordance with health guidelines.

Corner stone laying ceremony for the construction of a new house for S/681299 L/Cpl Amarasingha ADG of 1 SLCMP took placed on 07th April 2022 in No 121, Mahasenpura, Diulankadawala. The ceremony was graced by the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) & Commander Forward Maintenance Area (Mullaitivu) Major General Anil Ilangakoon. Full house construction of the project conceptualized by the Commander of the Army under the financial and labour assistance of Sri Lanka Army.
