  • SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE BIDS FAREWELL FOR OUTGOING COLONEL COMMANDANT

    The outgoing Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General DKGD Sirisena USP was awarded with Military honours and greetings on Saturday (01) at the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Regimental Centre in Polhengoda.

    The Commander of the Logistics Command and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Major General DKGD Sirisena USP visited to the 2 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 25th January 2020 prior to his retirement. During the visit, the Colonel Commandant has been awarded a guard turnout, planting a sapling, group photograph and all ranks tea party.
Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police , Brigadier AL Illangakoon also participated to the occasion.

    The Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and the Commander of the Headquarters Logistics Command of Sri Lanka Army Major General DKGD Sirisena USP visited to the 5th Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 27th January 2020 prior to his retirement.

    Maj Gen DKGD Sirisena USP Commander of Logistic Command and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police paid a formal visit to 3 SLCMP in Galkulama prior to his Retirement on 26th January 2020. During the visit the Senior Officer was accorded a guard turnout and planted a tree sapling in the camp premises as a token his visit. After troops address all Officers and other Ranks joined All Ranks tea party with Colonel Commandant.

    Maj Gen DKGD Sirisena USP, Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police paid a formal visit to 7 SLCMP in Diyatalawa prior to his Retirement on 24th January 2020. During the visit the Senior Officer was accorded a guard turnout and planted a tree sapling in the camp premises as a token his visit. After Group photo, troops address all Officers and other Ranks joined All Ranks tea party with Colonel Commandant.

  • WANNI COMMANDER VISITS 3 SLCMP

    The Commander Security Force - Wanni (SF-W), Major General AMR Dharmasiri ndu psc made his official visit to the 3 SLCMP Galkulama on 08th January 2020.

    Lt Col MMMP Mahesh Kumara, Commanding Officer of 3 SLCMP , welcomed him and presented a comprehensive briefing on the role and tasks of the SLCMP unit. A sapling was also planted to coincide with the visit.

    Maj Gen DKGD Sirisena USP Commander of Logistic Command and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military police paid a formal visit to 6 SLCMP on 17th January 2020, prior to his Retirement. During the visit Senior Officer declared open a new accommodation building for WOs’ & SGTs’ and water purification plant with a RO Technology to all Ranks.

During the visit the Senior Officer was accorded a guard turnout and planted a tree sapling in the camp premises as a token his visit. After troops address all Officers and other Ranks joined All Ranks tea party with Colonel Commandant.

    Brig AL Illangakoon, centre commandant of SLCMP also presented at the occasion.

  • MILITARY FORMALITIES TO THE NEWLY PROMOTED CENTRE COMMANDANT

    Brigadier AL Illangakoon being promoted to the rank of Brigadier, Military formalities were held at the Regimental Headquarters on 30 December 2019

    A Guard turnout, Ceremonial Parade, Group Photograph, Tree Planting, Troops Address and the events concluded with an all Ranks Tea Party. Many Senior, Junior Officers and ORs representing the RHQ, Dte of Provost, Units, have joined to congratulate the Centre Commandant at the event

  • Passing Out Parade – Recruit Course No:75

    Newly trained 188 recruits of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) Course No - 75 passed out on Thursday (19) during a colourful parade at the SLCMP Training School in Giritale

    Major General D.K.G.D Sirisena, Colonel Commandant, SLCMP and Commander, Logistics Command graced as the Chief Guest of the day’s event and took the salute at the invitation of Colonel D.M.A Bandara, Commandant, SLCMP Training School

    Displays of drills, bands, tattoos and Angampora shows coloured the day’s chain of events witnessed by a large gathering of about 3,000 next of kin of those recruits, well-wishers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Army

    Lieutenant V.K.T Ranasinghe was awarded as the Best Platoon Commander of the parade and Staff Sergeant K.R.G.D Weerasinghe was selected as the Best Platoon Sergeant

    Corporal H.M.M.S Abeyrathna Banda was adjudged the Best Section Commander, Recruit H.M.M.S Herath, the Best Recruit (male), Recruit P.A.S Madushani, the Best Recruit (female), Recruit S.P.M Siriwardana, the Best Shooter (Male) and Recruit B.B.A.M Bandara, the Best Shooter (female) respectively

    Major B.L.S.K Balasuriya was the Parade Commander who was also the Chief Instructor for the course. Captain R.G.N.S Abeyrathna served as the 2nd in Command of the parade
