Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police conducts the three days workshop for the Officers & Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 'International Humanitarian Law & Human Rights’ at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police from 15 August to 17 August 2023, aiming to educate the Officers and Other Ranks on various aspects of Human Rights and the International Humanitarian Law.
The lectures were largely focused on the updated details of 'International Humanitarian Law’ and ‘Human Rights’, Principles of human dignity, non-discrimination and respect for human life , the role of International Humanitarian Law in armed conflict, as well as the rights of prisoners of war and civilians in times of war.
More than 75 troops of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, including Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present during the workshop.
