SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE SHOWN THEIR COLOURS DURING THE DEFENCE SERVICES KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP - 2023

The Defence Services Karate Championship – 2023 was held on 18 September 2023 and the four karate players of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police participated the championship and crowned SLCMP with 3 medals including Women Military Police Non Commissioned Officer. The prize awarding ceremony was held on 19 September (evening) at Air Force Health Management Centre Indoor Stadium Thunmulla.

During the Karate Championship, S/ 678918 Staff Sergeant Weerasinghe RMDL- 1 SLCMP won the Gold medal under 75Kg weight class while S/670053 Sergeant Karunarathne KHMPN – 2 SLCMP & S/ 682083 Pte Perera KCS Women Military Police Non Commissioned Officer -2 SLCMP won the bronze medals under 85Kg & 55Kg weight classes respectively at Air Force Health Management Centre Indoor Stadium Thunmulla.
