In order to accomplish this prime objective, Major General D GS Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu , the Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force conducted a lecture on Dichotomy of Leadership for the senior officers and senior Non Commissioned officers of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on Friday (2nd December 2022) at Conference Hall.

The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force introduced an Officer Career Planning System asa software solutionon the conceptual initiative of Major General Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.The Officer Career Planning System was designed and developed by Directorate of Information Technology in the Sri Lanka Army. Following a series of procedural and technological accomplishments, the Commandant launched the Officer Career Planning System at the Conference Hall, Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 29 November 2022.

Original recreation oil paintings of distinctive milestones of the great legacy of volunteering on canvas were unveiled at the Headquarters Complex of the Volunteer Force on 18 November 2022 on the concept of Major General D G S Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.

Coincide with the Katina Ceremony which is being held at the Kiri Vehera, Kataragama under the patronage of Venerable Millawe Mahinda Thero, the Chief Incumbent of Mundigala Sumanagiri Arannya, Miriswatta, Puwakpitiya, Katina Cheevaraya and Sugatha Cheewaraya woven carefully with utmost holy faith and devotion towards the Lord Buddha following the religious customs and rituals were brought to the Headquarters of the Volunteer Force bequeathing on the heads of the devotees at the invitation of the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force on 3 November 2022 during the dusk hours.

Workshop on ‘Skills Development & Innovations’- Phase 2, held at the Headquarters, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) culminated on 25th October as planned, followed by its certificate awarding ceremony. The Course began on 20 September proceeded with 31 Other Ranks belonging to diverse regiments in the Army.
