Admin inspection and the formal visit of the Commander, Logistics Command Major General EMM Fernando Hdmc Lsc AATO, were conducted at the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock in Karandeniya on 10 July 2024.
The Commander, Logistics Command, was warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock, Brigadier KASK Siriwardana RWP RSP USP at the main entrance with a ceremonial guard according to military formalities. The Commander, Logistics Command planted a sapling and appear to the group photograph to mark his visit to the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock
Afterwards, the Admin inspection was conducted by the commander, Logistics Command with his Opening Remarks. During the inspection, General matters, Admin matters, and Logistic matters of RHQ, Trg sch and all Bns were discussed . The visit was concluded with an inspection of camp premises.
The Deputy Centre Commandant, senior officers of RHQ-SLACAL, Commandant Sch of A&L, and Commanding Officers of the Bns also took part in the program.

A benovalant donation of all essential items & hygiene products was gifted by the SVB unit of SLACAL for the Anula Wijerama Children's Development Centre in Balapitiya in lieu of Vesak. This wholesome event brought smiles upon smiles for the 35 Orphaned girls as they were offered a morning Tea, a lunch Buffet, a children's movie & a time filled with fun activities topped with a sing a long.
This spend-a day was initiated under the direction of the President of SLACAL seva vanitha branch, Mrs.Varuni Kulatunge on 25th May 2024. The program showcased the presidents desire to fulfill SLACALs commitment to brighten the lives of children. This deed was generously supported by Ms.S Perera, Mrs.S Kolonne, Mrs. Shirani, Mrs. Dhanya Warnapura & members of the SVB-SLACAL units.
The program was jointly organized by the RHQ, Training school of A&L, 4 Battalions & the main SVB of SLACAL.
Commander – Security Forces Headquarters (East), & the Colonel Commandant of the SLACAL Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP & The President of the SVB of SLACAL Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge, graced the occasion as Chief Guests. The Centre Commandant Brigadier KASK Siriwardana RWP RSP USP was instrumental in organising this event & played a key role in carrying it through. The Deputy Centre Commandant Colonel HWMAC Fernando RSP & other senior officers of SLACAL gathered at this generous occasion.

In commemoration of the 15th Anniversary of the Victory against Terrorism and to invoke merit to those who sacrificed their lives for the motherland, the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Army Corp of Agriculture & Livestock organized a social service program. The program was spearheaded under the direction, supervision and guidance of the president of Sri Lanka Army Corp of Agriculture & Livestock seva vanitha branch, Mrs. Varuni Kulatunge, on May 19, 2024.
The donation of prosthetic limbs was organized by the SVB of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock on May 19th 2024, at the Regimental Headquarters in Karandeniya.The event was arranged with the aim of uplifting the lives of our brave soldiers who had lost their limbs in-service to the nation and to provide a better tomorrow for the residents of Karandeniya and nearby villages, who had lost their limbs due to various natural disasters. The program showcased the SLACALs commitment towards fulfilling their social responsibilities. The donation of 27 artificial limbs, a brain child of the President of the SVB of SLACAL was supported by the magnanimous contributions of Mr. Supem & Mrs.E De Silva, Dr.Sanjeew Rajapaksha & Ms. Dilu Rodrigo, who are all members of the Friends in Need Society & the Rotary club of Capital City. The program, jointly organized by the RHQ and SVB of SLACAL, touched the lives of 45 civilians & touched the hearts of all those present, when the recipients arrived on wheel chairs & walked away on their own feet.

Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc assumed duties as the 3rd Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock on 04 April 2024 at the Regimental Headquarters of SLACAL Karandeniya,Ambalangoda.
Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc was welcomed with a guard turnout and guard of honor by the SLACAL troops.Then, he signed a formal document amidst the blessings of Maha Sangha. Subsequently, the incumbent Colonel Commandant planted a sapling to signify this momentous occasion. He later addressed the officers and troops, during which he appreciated the progress made by the regiment thus far and requested all to continue working with the same commitment and determination.

The newly constructed main gate and entrance was opened on 04 March 2024 at the Regimental Centre, Corps of Agriculture & Livestock Karandeniya. The Director General Infantry and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock Major General KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu was graced the occasion as the chief guest. The Centre Commandant of SLACAL, Brigadier KASK Siriwardana RWP RSP USP, senior officers and officers of the regimental centre, senior officers, and officers of 2 (V) SLACAL participated at the event.
The Colonel Commandant extended his gratitude, remembering the great commitment of officers and all ranks during their courageous and enthusiastic commitments taken throughout to uplift the standard of the Regiment.

The Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock, with its remarkable and illustrious service to the nation and great potential commemorated its 3rd anniversary on 04 January 2024. Major General KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu the Director General Infantry and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
On 4th January 2023 arrived at the Regimental Headquarters, the Colonel Commandant was welcomed by Colonel HWMAC Fernando RSP the Deputy Centre Commandant SLACAL at the entrance and invited to review the guard Turnout and accompanied to the salute of the proud, dignified military guard of honour and a parade at Regimental Headquarters Karandeniya. , Chief of Staff of Office of the Chief of Defence Staff Major General PPA Perera Hdmc psc, Director Agriculture and Livestock Brigadier BN Madanayake RWP RSP, Centre Commandant of SLACAL Brigadier KASK Siriwardhana RWP RSP USP, Deputy Centre Commandant SLACAL Colonel HWMAC Fernando RSP, All senior officers, officers and all ranks of SLACAL participated for the event.
The Colonel Commandant extended his gratitude during address of the troops, remembering the great commitment of officers and all ranks during their courageous and enthusiastic commitments taken throughout to uplift the standard of the newly established Corps. Afterwards, Colonel Commandant participated in the all-ranks lunch, and a brief commemoration was held adhering to health regulations and guidelines.

The Fifth Regimental Council Meeting of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture & Livestock was held on 18 September 2023 at the DGFM Conference hall, Army Headquarters-Baththaramulla.The Director General Financial Management & Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Army Corps of Agriculture and Livestock Major General WBSM Abeysekera RSP VSV USP was presided the Council Meeting.
Major General PPA Perera Hdmc psc,Brigadier AMKGPSK Abeysinghe, Director Agriculture & Livestock-Brigadier BN Madanayake RWP RSP,Brigadier EMGA Ambanpola,Centre Commandant of SLACAL - Brigadier KASK Siriwardana RWP RSP USP,Colonel MAS Weligama,Colonel K Weerasinghe USP and Lieutenant Colonel KS Thalagala USP were joined with the Council Meeting as Council members.During this meeting they discussed about the Officers related matters,General matters,Admin matters, Log matters and concluded with important decisions relevant to the SLACAL Regiment.
