  • WELFARE ITEMS DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMME

    Considering the requirement of war heroes and their family members, Armour Ladies Club organized the welfare items distribution programme on 29th October 2016 at Officers’ Mess Sri Lanka Armoured Corps. Mrs Shirani Udawatta, President of Armour Ladies Club chaired the simple ceremony and attended many Armour Ladies Club members.

    During the briefed programme, a series of financial donations and required items were provided on behalf of several war-affected soldiers and their family members. The list of recipients are as follows.

  • ARMOUR LADIES CLUB VISITS THE MULLERIYAVA HOSPITAL

    Members of the Armour Ladies Club visited to the ward No 06 which is managed by Army Seva Vanitha Unit in the Mulleriyava Mental Hospital on 26th August 2016.

    Armour Ladies Club members offered the lunch, gift pack, cloths and also some essential items as request of the hospital staff to the inmates of the ward No 06. After that members of the Armour Ladies Club spend time interacting with the inmates.

  • SENIOR LADIES GET TOGETHER AND DISTRIBUTION OF WATER FILTERS

    Armour Ladies Club has organized the senior ladies get together and water filters distribution programme on 30th July 2016 at the New Cavalry Officers’ Mess at Rock House camp.

    Approximately 700,000.00 rupees worth of nineteen water filters has distributed among the selected soldiers in North Central province whose family members have being affected by the kidney disease and also donated 1.5million rupees to family members of lance corporal Nissanka who is Killed in Action.

  • JOYFUL BAK MAHA ULELA FOR KIDS AND WOMEN

    Giving prominence to the cultural events of Singhalese it was held a colourful BakMaha Ulela by the Armour Ladies Club at the De La Salle Collage, Modara on 09 April, 2016. The event was commenced with the traditional ‘Kiri Ithirawima’ (Milk is boiled in a new clay pot and allowed to spill over) by the head of the Armor Ladies Club. Many sports events including traditional events such as breaking of the clay pot blindfolded, placing the eye on the elephant blindfolded, tug of war added more colours to the festival.

  • SATHARA BOOKS DONATION 2016

    Sathara books were donated on 2 April 2016 at Officers' Mess Sri Lanka Armoured Corp to the children of war heroes who will sit for the Grade 5 scholarship examination in this year. Vice president of Armour Ladies Club Mrs Shiromi Liyanage was the chief guest at the occasion. 381 Sathara books were distributed among the children of war heroes and civil servants.

  • ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING - 2016

    The 17th Annual General meeting of Armour Ladies Club for year 2016 was held at 0900 hrs on 19 March 2016 at Auditorium Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Armoured Corps. The event was held with the participation of more than 70 members of Armour Ladies Club. The Vice President of the Seva Vanitha Army Branch/ President of the Armour Ladies Club Mrs Nilanjani Peiris graced the occasion as chief guest.

    Considering the requirements of war heroes and their family members, Ladies Club organized welfare item distribution programme on 14 February 2016 at Officers' Mess, Sri Lanka Armoured Corp. Approximately worth of Rs 600,000.00 Water filters, Crutches, Wheel Chairs and Gel Shock were donated. President of Armour Ladies Club grace the occasion as chief guest.
