  • CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS HELD AT ROCK HOUSE

    As seasonal compliment, the Armour Ladies Club held annual Christmas celebrations on 12 December 2017 at Rock House Camp. The programme commenced with the Christmas carols and the Santa Claus added more colours to the event. More numbers of ladies and kids were took part the event. Christmas Gifts were distributed amongst children by the Santa Claus at that special eve.

  • A TRIBUTE TO FALLEN WAR HEROES

    Armour Ladies Club organized a get-together with families of fallen war heroes living in Western Province at Home of Armour, Colombo on 23 September 2017. The President of Armour Ladies Club; Mrs Sheromi Liyanage, members of Armour Ladies Club and family members were among the participants. At the end of the event dry ration packs were distributed among the families of fallen war heroes.

  • VISIT AT ‘MIHINDU SETH MEDURA’ BY ARMOUR LADIES CLUB

    The President and members of the Armour Ladies Club have visited the ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’, one of the Rehabilitation Centers of Sri Lanka Army on 16 July. Day began with the visit to all war heroes who are undergoing rehabilitationand ladies took time to interact and distribute gifts amongst them. Later, they all witnessed and actively involved in entertainment programme featured By ‘Cavaliers’, the Beat Group of SLAC.Finally, they enjoyed a special lunch before the session being wind up. Armour Ladies Club has also donated Rs 20,000.00 as a monetary assistance to scheduled Arts Exhibition of these valiant soldiers. Brig I G R G Bogodawatte, the Commandant of Mihindu Seth Medura, Colonel G D Sooriyabandara, The Centre CommandantSLAC and several other officers were present.

  • FLOOD RELIEF OPERATIONS OF ARMOUR LADIES CLUB

    Armour Ladies Club under the patronage of its president Mrs Sheromi Liyanage took initiative to distribute dry ration packs among the people who were affected due to the flood that caused massive damages in Sabaragamuwa, Western and Southern Provinces. Mrs Sheromi Liyanage handed over the dry ration packs to Centre Commandant and after being delivered them to Agalawatta in Western Province, CO 1 SLAC distributed them among the affected families.

  • ARMOUR LADIES CLUB ORGANIZED A RELIGIOUS PROGRAMME AT ROCK HOUSE CAMP

    Buddhist religious programme was organized at the Regimental Centre SLAC premises on Tuesday, 09 May 2017 on coincide with the International Vesak Festival under the patronage of Armour Ladies Club. The Bana preaching programme was the important and main event included in the religious programme in order to transfer merits to the souls of the fallen War Heroes and invoke blessing on all serving Officers and Other Ranks of the Sri Lanka Army. Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Armoured Corps Maj Gen S D T Liyanage WWV RWP ndc psc together with Mrs Sheromi Liyanage, members of Armour Ladies Club, Officers and Other Ranks of regiment were among the participants.

  • MEMBERS OF ARMOUR LADIES CLUB VISITED ABIMANSALA II

    Members of Armour Ladies Club visited Abhimansala II at Kamburupitiya on 29 April 2017. President of Armour Ladies Club Mrs Sheromi Liyanage and Colonel Commandant Maj Gen S D T Liyanage WWV RWP ndc psc along with 25 members participated for this occasion. During the visit gifts were distributed for all war heroes and provided special lunch as well. At the end of the event Armour Ladies Club donated a LED TV for the benefit of the Abhimansala II.

  • ARMOUR LADIES CLUB HELD 18TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

    Armour Ladies Club held its 18th Annual General Meeting on 18th march 2017 at the auditorium of Rock House with the participation of 60 members of the club.

    The President of Armour Ladies Club was arrived to the event at 0900hrs and event was included with an important lectureof Prof. Gamini De Alwis on happy life. British Cosmetics sponsored the event with a beauty workshop. The event was terminated at 1500hrs.

  • ANNUAL SCHOOL BOOK DISTRIBUTION FOR YEAR 2017

    Annual Book donation programe of Armour Ladies Club was officially started on 15th December 2016 during 61st Corp day celebration of Sri Lanka Armoured Corp.

    Prior to the beginning of the school year in the month of December the Armour Ladies Club provides school books and stationeries to the school children of all officers and soldiers including killed in action , missing in action and wounded in action and also to the children of civil servants.
